The Early Bus

The Early Bus- EP is dedicated to the King County Metro Transit System. Tony wrote every song on this project while riding the 5:28 a.m. bus to his day job. As a “starving artist” Tony views transit infrastructure as a vital ladder of opportunity, not just artists, but to everyone in the community. After years of riding the bus to studio sessions, shows, video shoots, and promotional events, this project highlights the relationship between art and infrastructure.
Tony teamed up with animator Freelightning to create a visual series to accompany the music, and has been working with King County Metro to find ways to increase access to the public transit system.
This project is the love letter penned to the most overlooked amenity of city life.
